Salt-Away is an amazing product that disolves salt. Safe to use on all types of materials without harming them. Mix up the specified solution ratio of Salt-Away concentrate and fresh water into a spray bottle.
Salt-Away is an engine flush for inboard, outboard, I/O and personal watercraft engines, and an exterior salt removing treatment for any surface where salt corrosion and build-up is a problem.
Mixed with water, Salt-Away washes away the salt and if not raised off, leaves a protective film on the surface to prevent rusting and corroding, and protects it against future salt corrosion. It is easy to apply by using Salt-Away's special Mixing Unit for bigger jobs or the ready-to-use spray bottles for smaller jobs.
Items also may be immersed in a mixture of Salt-Away and fresh water and no rusting or corrosion will occur while immersed.

USING SALT-AWAY: The best way to use this product is prior to departure and at the end of the trip also. Spraying a nice even coat over all outer surfaces of the reel prior to a trip (then allowing to dry) will offer protection if coming into contact with salt water. Once back on shore spray with a generous coating soon after your trip to eliminate any salt that has settled on the reel. Spraying your rod guides/reel seat with Saltaway is also recommended to prevent any salt build up or corrosion.
